I absolutely love the premise of Claire Fitzsimmons’s podcast “A Thought I Kept: The one idea that stayed.”
On each episode she invites each guest to share an idea that has stuck with them. Turns out this simple focus allows for wonderful conversations to flourish.
You can listen to me on season 2, episode 33. I loved this conversation with her where I got to share my thought, “this should be fun,” which is one I picked up from one of my grandfather’s students. On the episode I share more about my grandfather, Charles Stark Draper (better known as Doc Draper) and his work on the inertial guidance systems that got us to the moon and back. I was born in 1901 and I was 6 when he died, so I share more about how I’ve gotten to “know” him from trying to talk to 100 people who knew him.
