My 2024 Vision Board

Every year I like to post my vision board so I can find it again. Inevitably, something magical happens throughout the year when I’m not at home and I want a quick way to take a peek at it. But also for the past couple years I’ve run a vision board workshop live (you can sign up for it here to watch any time of the year!).

As I’m facilitating the workshop, I don’t actually get to work on my own board. I always like to share it with participants when it’s done.

This year I did my board faster than usual—in one afternoon watching a movie. I’ve got too much going on to overthink it. Granted, I do keep a pile of things I tear out of magazines each year but don’t use (it helps me get rid of the clutter of the actual magazines), which made some of it go faster.

I think sometimes we can be a bit controlling with vision boards. I really love to do these as a more intuitive approach. I have a couple goals going into the year, but really I want space for the unexpected too. Doing my board quickly helps take off a lot of pressure too—I’d rather have a finished board than no board.

It’s fun to have something to look at at the end of the year. As I share stories inside my workshop, it’s quite quite wild how I can make sense of almost everything on my board (although some clues can take a couple years to unfold).

This year I also had some fun happenstance as I was gluing. I absolutely love how the space under the bridge perfectly blends into the purple sky below it. I had both pieces placed close by when I first laid it out, but it was only when gluing and rearranging a bit that the two pieces became perfectly aligned. In fact, I didn’t even notice how well they blended together until I was done. Magic! ✨

I can’t help but feel like this year’s board feels a lot like the past 4 years (you can find past vision board posts here), but at the same time, I feel like it’s all a continuation of a larger cycle I’m in.

I like to joke that I teach vision board for skeptics. Check out the workshop if you’re curious. Sign up + get lifetime access. You’ll feel like you’re there.
