To The Moon
A CREATIVE BOOST TO THE NEXT LEVEL
A SERIES OF 5 MINI WORKSHOPS INSPIRED BY THE WORK + LIFE OF MY GRANDFATHER, Charles Stark Draper, who developed the inertial guidance systems that got us to the moon and back
Each workshop is 30 minutes and contains an exercise that accompanies the theme. Each mini workshop is designed to be short and digestible.
Workshop 1: Mission control panel
Workshop 2: Tune into your inner gyroscope
Workshop 3: Perspective life timeline
Workshop 4: Rope core memory + playing with the universe
Workshop 5: Orbiting the universe + banana maps
You’ll likely want to block off some additional time to complete the exercises which will become tools in your toolkit of life. Spend as much or as little time as you’d like with each exercise.
This workshop is perfect for you if:
You’re looking for a creative boost + fresh perspective.
You're looking for motivation and momentum for a project you’re working on.
You’re looking for a creative mindset shift and to feel inspired.
You’re looking to explore curiosity in different ways.
You want something more enriching than scrolling your phone.
You’re curious about space or the life of my grandfather.
What to expect in each workshop:
A story about my grandfather + how it’s inspired me and my work (he got us to the moon + back—he was a curious character)
An exercise related to the theme explored in the mini lesson (you’ll need pen + paper for this)
A journal prompt linked to each theme to get you thinking about your own journey and goals
You’ll leave each workshop with a new tool for your toolkit for life to refer back to and use as a support
All you need is plain paper, pens, markers / colored pencils, and a journal. For the last workshop you’ll need a banana and ballpoint pen (Yes! There’s a banana map inside this workshop!).
HOW IT WORKS:
Sign up and you’ll get instant access to all the pre-recorded workshops and resources.
Each workshop is designed to be short + sweet. While you can watch all of the workshops all in one sitting, it’s recommended that you block off an hour to actually complete the exercise in each video workshop rather than just going through the motions. Some folks may want to spend even more time with the exercise depending on their needs or interest in the themes explored. (You have full permission to take the prompts in different directions.)
This workshop series was originally conceived to be consumed one workshop a month to give the content breathing room, and with the understanding that you have other things going on in life.
It also could be completed one workshop a week, or every other week. There’s no one/right way to do this. You’ll have ongoing access and can revisit the content at any time. The beauty of the self-paced format is also that you can pause the videos if you need more time.
There are additional resources inside the lessons to inspire you to go deeper as well.
