Mapping Your Path into 2024

3-MONTH WORKSHOP + COMMUNITY

KICK-OFF: OCT 6
(Sign up before 5pm CET/Paris to join the kick-off live.

What could be possible if you had a map and a destination tailored for YOU rather than aimlessly wandering into the New Year with half-baked resolutions? What if the journey felt FUN, joyous, and spacious, with a sense of CONNECTION to yourself, and to others, as you make real strides towards what lights you up?

Set yourself up for success in the New Year starting now.
Give yourself permission to explore, flourish, and thrive.
Take off the pressure. Find focus.
Enjoy the ride!

This experience isn’t about more work for you. It’s about defining your own way, taking steps toward the life you want, and getting things done with ease and flow.

You hold the key.

  YOU ARE HERE.
Where do you want to be?

Maps help get us where we want to go. They give us the confidence to explore and to get lost, to find our way back, and reroute where needed.

It's time to be intentional with your life just like you would be exploring a new city. Get clear on what YOU want (what you really desire) and how you want to feel. Don't worry about the time to the destination or having everything figured out. You don't have to know everything—that will come with exploration.

Be an active explorer. Clarity comes through taking action, not overthinking. Your map will allow you to see new pathways you hadn't considered. Use your map as a tool to help you make decisions, or detours, as you gain perspective of the new lands you’re uncovering. You can get anywhere when you do.

As the map maker you can pick where you start. This likely means starting before you're ready. You know you can’t do it all at once, but you know where you want to explore (and where you will no longer return). Each step of the way, you’ll make new discoveries and connections that will help inform the next steps.

The best part is that you’ll know your map came from YOU, not from some outside source telling you what to do, or what you “should” do. There’s no one-sized-fits-all map that works for everyone. Part of the journey is making it your own and revising the world you inhabit as you discover more of what lights you up. We’re mapping from the inside out, regardless of the messaging the outside world may tell us.

Even when we take a wrong turn, that’s still information to get us back on track. We find our way back more quickly with a map. Our maps bring us back to what we know.

When I first joined MYP I was so stuck I didn’t know the first step to take. I’d been so focused on survival than anything strategic. The most eye-opening aspect of MYP was discovering a more visual way of putting strategies together. It’s been so helpful to allow me to think and do things differently.
— Susan Trunk (The Netherlands via US, UK)

I’ve been part of Mapping Your Path since the beginning. It has helped me reconnect with my creativity in a way I hadn’t imagined before. It also has brought fun and magic into my life. I think it’s the online program I didn’t know I was dreaming of. It didn’t add overwhelm but brought clarity, simplicity, lightness and helped me figure out what was important to me. I have fun creating my own maps and enjoy revisiting my notes and exercises from the previous rounds—it always brings insights and sparks.
— Céline Bourgeois (France)

A certain magic is unlocked when you make progress towards your goals in community, and you know you’re not alone. The power of the collective unlocks new discoveries, delights, insights, and possibilities along the way.

Mapping Your Path into 2024 will give you the tools and support you on your road to clarity and making things happen. It may even take you places you never imagined.✨

Goal: Make space for you to shine!

The breakdown:

Month 1: CELEBRATING HOW FAR WE’VE COME

Month 2: GUIDEBOOK FOR LIFE

Month 3: GUIDING FORCE + MAPPING FORWARD

Every month we’ll unlock new insights through creative exercises that can be completed during the workshops. All you need is to bring yourself, some paper, a journal, and your favorite pens/marker/colored pencils, and the rest will flow.

We’ll keep zooming in and out and revisiting exercises as you build your toolkit, so if you miss a session it’s not the end of the world. KEEP GOING! We’re going for progress, not perfection. It’s up to you how much additional exploration you want to do.

Together we’ll build a toolkit that will serve you in the New Year—and beyond!

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH:

  • Exploratory maps

  • New exercises for your personal toolkit

  • Your own mini guidebook to refer to when things go off course

  • A word, theme, or mantra to carry you forward (your guiding force)

  • New friends + support system

  • A new, empowered mindset!

No artistic experience is required. No two maps are the same. A bit of curiosity will take you far! You’ll be guided every step of the way. Even if you think you know what you want the year ahead to look like, use these three months together to dig deeper and explore. It’s all about staying open to possibilities and tuning into our intuition. Imagine what could be possible if you were in the driver’s seat…

Here’s a sampling of maps that have emerged in past MYPs. Sometimes our maps surprise us in the places they take us! Part of the process is learning to honor yourself.

Small steps—over time—add up.

We live in a world of broken and outdated systems ripe with injustices, a never-ending unforgiving news cycle of extreme events, all while learning to navigate our own personal challenges. Let’s take a collective deep breath and acknowledge that it’s a lot. But sitting back and doing nothing isn’t going to help or change anything. We have to take the first step.

It’s almost as if the universe wanted us to hit a collective reset and ask:

  • What are our priorities?

  • How do we want to be spending our time?

  • Who do we want to be spending our time with?

  • Where do we want to be?

  • How are we supporting ourselves?

  • What do we want for the world?

Mapping Your Path is alchemy, because it will bring together parts of yourself and others to spark transformation you could never foresee. It’s the most supportive structured community to understand yourself better and make durable, meaningful change to your life.

You don’t have to know what you want to get out of the experience, you just have to know that you’re not where you want to be and you’re not entirely sure why.
— Annie Yi (Washington, DC)

The community support was invaluable in providing accountability, encouraging me to look at things differently and take steps out of my comfort zone. My mindset has completely shifted from being part of MYP. I’m happy to report I now have a job I love, in an organisation that operates in alignment with my values, where I have the flexibility I didn’t before think was possible.

Working through the creative exercises helped me focus on what was important to me and what I had (and hadn’t) enjoyed in the past to help ensure whatever I did next was fulfilling and helped me live the life I wanted to live.
— Lizetta Lyster (London, UK)

It’s time to be intentional.

The world moves fast. We have to be intentional and MAKE the time to reflect on these questions. While these questions should always be questions we’re asking ourselves, in these times they became more relevant than ever before. If we’ve learned anything in recent years it’s that we can’t always predict the future. On the flip side, anything is possible.

Mapping Your Path is a 3-month workshop + community that follows you into the New Year. It’s about taking stock of where you are now, and where you want to be.

You may already be clear on the destination, or you may be looking for more clarity. Either way, the journey is the destination, and together we’ll walk through exercises to build our own toolkit to help carry us through whatever the future holds.

We’re in the final stretch of 2023, but getting to January 1st is not the finish line. It’s a ceremonial new beginning. For many, it's the day they decide to make changes. Chances are you’ve already discovered—and maybe even the hard way—that change doesn’t happen overnight.

Change is a practice, one where you need to build muscles over time. There are steps we can start taking now. We’re going to imagine our futures in a way you never have before, through creative mapping and community.

That’s the premise of MYP into 2024. We’re using the last quarter of the year to explore and set ourselves up for success—and any curveballs that come our way—as we enter the New Year.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore paths and possibilities that aren’t always the obvious path, or the one society has set out for you to follow. During our three months together detours are welcome, invited, and encouraged.

When I first joined MYP I had a very different idea in mind of where it would take me. Instead, I received a life-changing health diagnosis while enrolled. MYP helped give me a foundation and space for reflection. The community was immensely supportive both in listening, and for tangible guidance in launching a podcast to share my new mission around the gift of help.
— Ashley Usiskin (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

After joining MYP I feel the world opening up to me, rather than closing in, as it had seemed when I first retired. At that time I felt I needed to find a new career, and work to do that was important as judged by others. Now I can see myself moving in a direction that might benefit others but will be decided by me. I now can allow myself the luxury of looking forward and imagining the life I really, truly want to live. Yes, there will be bumps, interruptions, and segues I cannot control, but my path forward is mine to decide. Being in MYP has helped/nudged me to view everything differently.
— Ursula Tomlinson (Pennsylvania, USA)

Thank you for an amazing MYP session. I am grateful to have learned so much from this process and from everyone in the community. It has been a year since I left my job. I thought I would figure out what I should do next. And I have in a way, but not like I expected. I’ve focused on stretching, to simplify and be lighter as well as to explore.
— Clare Wade (Michigan, USA)

This isn’t your typical goal setting.
This is about exploration.

The best part is you won’t be doing it alone. There is power in the collective. You’ll have your own guide and fellow explorers (all over the world) by your side no matter where you are or where you are going.

By the end of our 3 months together you’ll have:

  • Direction, clarity, and focus (you’ll plant seeds to support future you)

  • A sense of calm and inner peace (you likely will even allow yourself to rest!)

  • A refreshed vision of progress and the journey you’re on

  • Renewed energy to carry into your life and work

  • A revived sense of creativity

  • An understanding that you’re in it for the long game and not instant gratification; and that more isn’t necessarily better

  • A realization that sometimes slowing down is how you go further, faster

  • A feeling of inspiration, fulfillment, and new confidence to carry forward

  • Reminders to find joy and to have fun

  • Permission to explore, experiment, and try new things

  • Connection to yourself and to others

  • An invitation to invite more everyday magic into your life ✨

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Just imagine what you’re going to do!
The possibilities are endless.
Permission to dream.

MYP takes me back to basics in a good way and orients me towards an integrated way of thinking about my life. I run my own business supporting social change leaders and have two young kids, and this community has helped me really think through how to best nourish myself amongst it all. I’ve even found time to sit in my travel hammock amongst the trees again.
— May Miller-Dawkins (New Zealand)

When I first signed up for MYP I was navigating life in Paris after completing grad school. During MYP I quit my job, started my own business, and got my French visa renewed. Having the support of the MYP community meant a lot during this time as it wasn’t always smooth sailing. Much to my pleasant surprise I even found other MYPers who needed my services and hired me! As someone who is self-employed and enjoys the company of other people, the Slack community and particularly the monthly connection calls were really helpful for keeping me going
— Monique Callender (Paris, France via USA)

Meet your guide:

Hi! I’m Anne Ditmeyer! 👋

I’m an American in Paris who has never been one to do things the traditional way. From starting my own business in France (which eventually earned me dual citizenship) to exploring how my grandfather navigated us to the moon and back, I’ve always been guided by my “own special gyroscope" as my mom would say.

Life has taught me the city is my classroom. The motto of my blog Prêt à Voyager (translation: ready to travel) is "Travel is not about where you go, but how you see the world." I believe in sharing alternative narratives and the paths less celebrated. My favorite question I bring to all of my work is, “What if there was another way?” I’ve also adopted my grandfather’s mantra, “It should be fun!”

A designer by training, creativity and play is at the heart of all my work, including making people map on bananas! I’ve come to love facilitating creative experiences and connecting people, places, and ideas. My workshops have been featured in Forbes and Psychologies Magazine.

Mapping Your Path is the community I craved in the world. I live out loud with the participants, and it’s truly my happy place as I’ve learned to step into living my life “my way.” The extremely generous community has been such an incredible support in my own growth and evolution. Little did I know when I created this container that magic would happen! ✨

You’ve got a magical talent: you can gather incredible humans! The MYP community is such a kind, inspiring, resourceful sounding board and your contagious energy paired with your design thinking approach helps one to feel seen whilst gaining clarity and starting building momentum.
— Claudia Mandelli (Germany via Italy)

The community that you cultivated was so special. It’s incredible that you attracted a group of kind-hearted, supportive individuals from around the world to be a part of the program. Learning that other people were also dealing with the things that I was struggling with and working through them together was what made the program worth it.
— Nishant Bhansali (India + USA)

I love the structure of MYP and how it creates a manageable cadence without the pressure to do it all, which has been key for me in my current season of life. I also appreciate the monthly MYP rhythm of workshop, breather, reflection, connection call, breather, *plus* the community and Anne’s ever-present support mixed in. It is quite unique and really provides a sense of camaraderie, warmth, and reflection that makes MYP special.

For me, MYP is a form of self-care and participating via replays on my own time is a huge benefit to dive deeper into the exercises with added flexibility. The community side is truly magical and a beneficial asset for accountability and advice for whatever path you’re navigating—at any stage of life. Anne + the community’s encouragement, the MYP resources, and the tools I’ve gained have been invaluable to my growth, joy, and peace of mind.
— Lauren O'Neill (Los Angeles)

How we connect:

This 3-month workshop + community isn’t like other online programs either. It’s also not what you learned in school. Come for the fun, leave with so much more.

It’s unlearning and re-writing a lot of what you thought you knew, focusing on following your own inner compass, and inviting in creative exploration as you set yourself up for a year like none other. You’ll be guided every step of the way.

The entire experience is a container designed to work within your life and not feel like a big commitment, all while unlocking the magic within you. MYPers look forward to carving out the time for our gatherings. It feels more like play than work. It’s a place where you get to show up as yourself.

There are four key components that make up Mapping Your Path which allow flexibility and time for reflection. There’s no behind in MYP.

  • 1st Friday of the month

  • Mapping-inspired exercises + prompts to unlock creativity and get you reflecting

  • Join live on Zoom or watch the replay (hit pause and spend more time with the exercises)

  • Bring paper, your favorite markers or colored pencils, a journal, and yourself!

  • Time to complete the exercises during the session

Monthly reflection sessions (1.5 hr)

  • Two weeks after the workshop, on the Thursday

  • Continues to build on exercises from the workshop with one new exercise

  • Join live on Zoom or watch the replay (hit pause and spend more time with the exercise)

  • Time to work on exercises and respond to prompts during the session (if you miss a workshop, you can still join a reflection session and not feel behind)

Monthly [magic] Connection Calls (1 hr)

  • Small group calls composed of 5-6 community members + Anne the 3 or 4th week of the month

  • Intentional time to connect with others (you never know what amazing humans you’ll meet!) in real-time

  • Informal conversations where everyone is invited to talk through any exercises, ask for feedback, or look for support on anything they’re working on or going through in life

  • Sign up for a time convenient for you each month. No need to prepare. Just show up!

  • These are often an MYP highlight! Magic can happen.

MYP Community (ongoing for 3 months)

  • Invitation only private community (on Slack) of amazing humans

  • Great for weekly checking to chart progress and evolution over time

  • Share inspiration, exercises, resources, funny links, etc.

  • Ask questions (ponderings, approaches, biz ideas, experiences, think out loud, find clarity, etc.)

  • Anne is an active participant and you can expect to direct support from her!

Wrap up call (1.5hr)

  • After the holidays we’ll regroup in mid-Jan for a final workshop-style check-in

  • Intentional time to look back on our 3 months, reflect, and celebrate how far we’ve come and where we’re going!

  • Join live on Zoom or watch the replay

It’s completely understandable that you’ll likely want to take a pause and disconnect around the holidays—or even throughout the 3 months. Rest assured, pauses are essential—and encouraged—throughout this discovery journey.

NOTE: Workshops and reflection sessions will take place from 5-6:30pm CET/Paris (11am-12:30pm EST) on Zoom. Don’t get fixated on dates or times! Replays can be watched on your own time. Those who can’t join the workshops and reflection sessions live still get immense value and connection out of MYP through other points of connection. In fact, many people prefer the ability to pause and take more time with the material and exercises. You will be able to watch the replays whenever you want, and as many times as you want, even after the 3 months are over—you’ll have lifetime access to the replays.

Every effort is made to ensure everyone who would like to participate in a Connection Call can, regardless of where you are in the world. Call times are staggered across days and times.

I am so grateful to be a part of MYP, and to have the time to dedicate to all these wonderfully revealing activities! Even though I’m not able to join the workshops live, I’m getting so much out of it! Taking time to watch the replay, and pausing to spend longer on the activities, feels like precious ‘mindfulness’ time for me!
— Michelle Newell (Melbourne, Australia)

I have done many of those so-called workshops and online programs in the past 3 years, till now I haven’t had such a beautifully designed program, a rich content, powerful exercises and the wonderful people in the community.

I was blown away and it is truly an aspiration and inspiration. Thank you ever so much for welcoming me into your world! I’ve learned a great deal about myself, more than I had with many of the coaches I have had so far. I’m forever grateful.
— Sophie Frey (Switzerland)

I’m amazed at how transformative MYP has been! It’s all about asking the right questions and digging up the answers.

I’ve taken innumerable online classes, courses, and workshops, and MYP is the ONLY one that I (surprisingly) saw myself commit to from start to finish. The reason? Engagement of its leader, Anne who is very much involved not only as a guide but as a peer, leading by example. Another huge benefit of MYP is the richness of the group - feeling surrounded by truly brilliant people kept me inspired.
— Nadia Monosova (Brooklyn, NY)
